When you are renting a cottage it's very important that you start your search early. If you want to rent a cottage in BC for August, for example, then you should be making the reservations in January or February otherwise you will end up with cottages that nobody wanted and chances are you won't find your dream place including a hottub, a fireplace and a sandy beach.
A new cottage directory will be launched in the summer of 2009 on the bccottages.com domain supported by bccottagerentals.com.
Peak rental periods for cottages in BC are the Victoria Day long weekend, Canada Day long weekend, British Columbia Day (first Monday in August) and finally the Labour Day weekend. View a list of all holidays in BC including dates for 2009-2010
